How to Get a Business Permit in the Philippines?

Lately I was involved in doing leg work to secure business permit for the business of  my boss.  Every now and then we received instructions from our accountant on how to do it and what are the requirements for the processing.

Here’s how:

First – Prepare your contract of lease.
(You need to have the contract of lease of the premise notarized at the City hall for Php. 200.00 more or less.)

Second – Retrieve the tax declaration of the land and building. Secure a tax clearance or certificate of no delinquency from the the real estate division, City Treasurer.

Third – Secure Barangay clearance attached to it the Official Receipt.
(To secure a Brgy. Clearance you need to get a Certificate of Tax Registration from the City hall, the amount to be paid will depend upon the capital investment declared)

Fourth – Get an application form for business permit in the City Hall.

Fifth – Secure BIR Certificate of Registration.

Six – Secure clearance from SSS, Philhealth, and Pagibig
Note: The lessee’s name must be the name in all documents.
