The parallelism of mind and heart is very important for us to be on the right track, to know your own happiness one needs to seek his hearts desire not just what the mind prods. Usually our mind dictates about earthly things like power, money and influence. We, human beings are made not just of flesh but of soul, we are constituted and bonded with the holy spirit, that’s why we feel sometimes insatiable, unhappy and empty when we took care of luxuries and earthly lavishness.
Our mind is capable of demanding our whole system what it thinks. When we think of being upset, then surely we will be upset. The power of mind can transform bad things into good and from good to bad. Either way we can easily negate ourselves from bad thinking, surely we can! It’s like going to an interview with negative thoughts flooded in our mind, then surely we don’t have to expect positive results. What we think will become the outcome. See how the mind corrupts, how it will invade everything and transform its nature. I would like to quote what Norman Vincent Peale stated on his book “The Power of Positive thinking“.
“Formulate and stamp indelibly on your mind a mental picture of yourself as succeeding. Hold this picture tenaciously. Never permit it to fade. Your mind will seek to develop the picture… Do not build up obstacles in your imagination.”
Your desire to do it gives big impact to what you’re facing right now. Don’t dare to surrender, for what your mind conceived, you have the power to change it. Do not be paralyzed!
Heart is used as a symbol to refer to our spiritual, emotional and moral. Our heart focuses on unearthly things, those things in which we could’n’t see but we can easily recognize and define. But when heart and mind would go on separate ways, when they tend to have different interest, that would drives us to confusion.
I could still remember the song sang by Don Moen “Be still”. It is our strong faith that makes everything okay, that produce the feeling of stillness. It is the mind that believes and prays that certainly things will be fine, no matter what it turns out to be.
